PS: As my Missus would say, "It should just work. Honestly, rather close to just returning this unit and continuing with my Windows PC. But, these issues are not helping that cause.

My idea was/is to switch to Mac OS (desktop), versus Windows. But, not 100% sure what the issue was, software or hardware, don't recallĬonsidering this is only a 2 day old Mac Mini, with the latest Big Sur 11.4, just not fully confident with my purchase. Restarting on its own: This morning, went to my workspace to start working, only to see a message on the screen about the Mac Mini having restarted due to an issue. As a test, I have since connected the unifier to USB C/Thunderbolt, versus USB A. After all, I used the unifier due to the Bluetooth issues (not remaining connected or stuttering when using the mouse and keyboard).
While the iMac and the M1 Mac Mini stayed silent during these tests, the Intel Mac Mini and the MacBook Pro did not - the later being so noisy. Meaning, it is not connected to the Mac Mini. The M1 Mac Mini scored 1,518 and 7,828 in comparison the 2018 Intel i3 Mac Mini recorded 942 and 3,670 respectively and the 2016 MacBook Pro offered a single core score of 761, and multi-core of 1,840. Now what happens often, is the keyboard computer selector button will start to flash. In terms of ports, the M1 Mac mini features two USB-A ports, two USB-4 ports (essentially Thunderbolt 4), an HDMI 2.0 port, a gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Macs with the T2 chip includes iMac Pro, Mac Pro (2019), Mac mini (2018), MacBook Air (2018 or later) and MacBook Pro (2018 or later).

I can live with this after all, how often will I need to restart the Mac Mini. Works, but, if I reboot the Mac (say for an update), then the Mac Mini does not see the monitor, till I disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cable. Monitor: Samsung 49" monitor, connected via HDMI. This is my second attempt at purchasing and using a Mac Mini M1, as my main computer.
